New Delhi. Due to increasing cases of Coronavirus, BCCI has suspended IPL 2021 in between. There were 60 matches to be played in the IPL and only 29 matches were played, but after Corona’s breach in the bio bubble, BCCI had to take this big decision. However, it is being speculated to cause a loss of about Rs 2200 crore to the board. But this decision had to be taken due to the report of 10 players coming positive. Now after the IPL suspension, the players are in the process of returning to their respective homes. Some foreign players have left, but some are still stranded in India.
Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has vowed that his teammates will leave for their home only after the players return to their respective homes. This season was postponed indefinitely after Corona reported cases in some IPL teams.
Announced in a virtual meeting
